There’s been lots of publicity recently around the increase of positive drug testing in triathletes – from elites down to age groupers – which raises the question, what exactly are YOU putting in your mouth?
Many of the triathletes tested had no knowledge of their nutrition products containing dubious or banned substances, and were shocked to suffer the consequences of testing positive. For elite athletes, an extended ban can signify the end of their career. One positive test is all that is needed for sponsorships and support to end.

Just recently we chose to have our most popular nutrition product, Bindi Sports Hydration 900g (Lemon and Lime flavour), tested by HASTA for WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) banned substances. The HASTA drug testing laboratory is NATA accredited to ISO 17025; and their sport supplement screening test covers over 200 WADA prohibited substances.
This was a voluntary procedure, as drug testing is not yet compulsory, but we wanted to reassure our athletes that Bindi products meet all required standards, giving you peace of mind and ongoing confidence in the Bindi brand.
We take our reputation seriously as our athletes depend on us. The third party independent testing results showed that there was no prohibited substance detected (click to see certificate). Unfortunately, no product testing can ever give you a 100% guarantee, as prohibited substances can be present at very low levels, and not distributed evenly through a batch. However, in addition to us sourcing the best raw materials, and the strict quality assurance of our manufacturing, independent testing provides an additional level of confidence for our professional athlete and age grouper consumers randomly selected for testing.
Not only did our sports hydration product pass the stringent HASTA testing, but like all our range is some of the most effective on the market.
