Healthy Chocolate Surprise

It’s definitely a treat time of year, and with so many goodies on offer, this healthy chocolate surprise will be a perfect homemade delight.

We love freeze dried raspberries and nuts on top, but you can mix and match for your favourite combo. Enjoy!

Healthy Chocolate Surprise
*PLEASE NOTE: for vegan substitute honey for preferred vegan liquid sweetener such maple or rice malt syrup. Optional Add Ins: Mix in your choice of Dried cranberries, roasted nuts, seeds or mixed dried fruits if you wish.

  1. Add all the chocolate ingredients except the super greens powder into a small saucepan over low heat. Stir slowly but continuously until the ingredients are melted, well combined and liquid.
  2. Remove from heat and sprinkle in the super greens powder along with your choice of add ins. Gently fold through the chocolate mixture until the powder is well mixed in and all add ins are well coated.
  3. Pour the melted chocolate liquid into a lined baking tray. Spread it out as thickly or thinly as you would like. If you would prefer a thicker chocolate you can cut in to pieces use a smaller pan. If you would prefer a chocolate “bark”, use a larger pan where the chocolate will spread to be a thin layer.
  4. Place in the freezer to set. Once set, either break up the chocolate by snapping it in to pieces (if thin enough) or using a sharp knife to cut it in to chunks.
  5. Keep either in the fridge or freezer in an air container to store.
